The eastern side of Crete offers the visitor many different landscapes, impressive gorges, fertile plateaus, picturesque settlements, the mountain of Dikti, with an altitude of 2000 meters and the lower, but equally beautiful, mountain of Thripti.
Many of the old trails are not yet mapped, so you have a good chance to explore them with Angela Sturmayer, a certified guide. Angela has extensive experience hiking with both small and large groups. Originally from Austria, she has been living in Crete since 1985 and has been working since the mid-90s as a hiking guide. During the hiking season, in spring and autumn, routes with different levels of difficulty are offered. There are thus easy and relaxed routes to enjoy the contact with nature and more difficult ones for the more demanding hikers.
With Angela's knowledge of nature, history and local traditions, as well as her ability to speak four languages (Greek, English, German and Dutch), the visitor is given the opportunity to receive maximum information about the route they choose.
